Welcome to 4th Grade!
I am very grateful for being able to return to Western Hills. This will be my 9th year teaching third grade. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have been working towards my Master's degree in Special Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I'm halfway though!! Prior to teaching in El Paso, I have taught in North Carolina and California. I have three children, a new granddaughter and have hosted exchange students from 6 different countries.
I feel that the education of our children is the product of a team effort among student, parent, teacher, and administrator. Thus, I will communicate through notes, phone calls, progress reports, and conferences. Students will keep track of homework assignments in their homework folder/agenda. Please review the agenda daily and initial. If you have any questions or notes for your child’s teacher, there is a place on your child’s homework sheet for you to communicate with me.
My conference time is 1:00 - 1:45 daily. Please allow 24 hour notification as I may already have a prior meeting.
